We will let you know as soon as we can - and before we proceed with further repair work - if the repair is going to take significantly longer than originally estimated.

Local Collection and Delivery

If need be, and for only a small extra charge (average £8 for a collection and delivery within a 10 mile radius), we will collect and return your instrument to you.

Brass Repairs

Most brass instrument repairs can be returned within 48 hours, routine maintenance and overhaul within 24 hours.

Woodwind Repairs

Woodwind instrument minor repairs can be returned within 48 hours.  Routine maintenance and overhaul, including re-padding, can usually be returned within the week.

Percussion Instrument Repairs

Percussion instrument repairs can usually be returned within 24 hours, depending on the availability of spares.

Re-skinning of djembes etc., takes about one week.

Repairs by Post

Posting your instrument for repair need not be expensive.  Staples the stationery store (staples.com) offer a very good service, including packing the instrument for you.

Record Condition

Please make a detailed record of the condition of your instrument before posting it i.e. photographs and written notes.  This will help you in the event of an insurance claim.

Insurance

Most importantly, please ensure that you have taken out adequate insurance cover for your instrument before posting it.
